Project Manager based in Springfield, Missouri:
Principle Objective/Scope:
Project manager must demonstrate ability to communicate and coordinate effectively throughout the organization. Project Manager must understand that the speed of construction to meet owner’s revenue timeline, meeting company’s estimated cost budgets on the project while incorporating all the local specifications of construction is of the greatest importance. Consistent communication of cost budgets and reporting of job to date results to General Superintendents on a weekly basis is expected. Management of multiple projects and customers will be expected.
Essential Functions, but not limited to, consist of the following duties:
- Manage risk in relation to jobsite safety, owner contractual terms, city and/or county specifications, and other contractors that could be working onsite.
- Schedule work on software or calendar to help coordinate crews and inform management of following week’s expectations and needs at the weekly scheduling meeting.
- Work with estimator and field supervision to coordinate material supplies and document the delivery and acceptance of the material. .
- Ensure Owner/ESS has the following permits if required: (Burn, Land Disturbance, Rough Grading, Sanitary, Street & Storm, and Water)
- Work with estimator to organize a pre-construction meeting with key supervisors in operations to assist in the productive progress of a project.
- Attend, and coordinate if needed, a weekly meeting with owner or owner’s representative to communicate updated schedule for construction activities and when substantial completion can be expected. Document any punchlist items of work that the owner requires and schedule completion as soon as possible.
- Communicate job production with job sheets, change order documentation, request for pricing, and any equipment damage reports daily to the project management staff through e-mail or by transfer of files at the office.
- Communicate and coordinate with local municipal inspectors, consulting firms, engineering firms, owner representative, and local utilities in regards to ESS’s scheduled construction activities.
- Schedule subcontractors when needed and communicate with them at least two weeks in advance to avoid delays in operations. If any utilities are constructed by an outside contractor or municipal, make sure owner provides ESS with plans to show utility crossing and sleeves if required.
- Coordinate ESS resources with other managers including: general superintendents, trade superintendents and foremen.
- Document all project impacts in relation to the project schedule, budget, and plans. Communicate these impacts to management and owner or owner’s representative (when necessary). Digital Pictures will be taken if necessary. (AA/EOE)
