Project Summary
Private residential golf community offereing 400 custom home sites.
Project Features
- The Community of Old Hawthorne is a private residential golf community east of downtown Columbia, Missouri on Highway WW. Located on a 600 acre tract of land, the development features an 18 hole championship golf course designed by Arthur Schaupeter. The course has become the home for the University of Missouri golf team. In addition to the golf course, Old Hawthorne offers a complete portfolio of amenities including a grand clubhouse, swimming complex and fitness center. The master plan consists of nearly 400 single family custom home sites as low maintenance condominiums, villa homes, town homes and patio homes, and a neighborhood commercial site along Highway WW.
- Emery Sapp & Sons Inc was the general contractor for site development for the entire project, performing all of the excavation and grading, installation of water and sewer lines, paving of streets, sidewalks, cart paths and parking lots and construction of storm water features. Crockett Engineering provided the civil engineering services and Niebur Golf constructed the golf course elements.
